 I have seen some photographers show what the actual background is for their portrait. For example, they will show the clips that they use to hang the textured backdrop. On the other hand, I tend to use the backdrop as the background colour, hiding the true nature of the backdrop. For this shot, I actually wanted to experiment with the backdrop by telling the audience that it was actually a white sheet.
